Role Summary

Our lead program - HLX-1502 - is currently in Phase 2 trials for Neurofibromatosis Type I (NF1). We are looking for a highly driven Neurofibromatosis Program Manager to advance and coordinate our NF portfolio.

In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to support program planning, align stakeholders and ensure progress across multiple initiatives. You’ll help translate strategy into execution, identify risks early and contribute to decision making with clear, structured insights.

This is a great opportunity to gain broad exposure to how a therapeutic area is built within a biotech environment, working across scientific, clinical and operational functions.

Core Responsibilities

Support the progression of multiple NF programs across development stages.

Translate strategic priorities into clear execution plans and next steps.

Identify risks and dependencies, and work with teams to address them. Work closely with research, clinical, regulatory and external partners to maintain alignment and progress initiatives.

Analyse scientific, clinical and competitive information, and synthesise into clear insights to support decision-making. Prepare high-quality materials for internal discussions and external engagements.

Maintain program tracking, milestones and key documentation to ensure visibility and accountability.

Support the coordination of meetings and follow-ups to keep initiatives progressing effectively.

Contribute to interactions with collaborators, partners and the broader neurofibromatosis ecosystem.

What We’re Looking For

You are driven by the therapeutic impact you can have for patients

2-4 years of experience in biotech, pharma, life sciences strategy or a related field, with exposure to drug development

Background in life sciences, medicine or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred but not required.

Ability to structure complex problems, prioritise effectively and communicate clearly to different audiences

Confidence working with data and drawing insights to inform decisions.

Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

A background in management consulting is beneficial.

Interest in rare diseases is required; prior experience in neurofibromatosis is a plus

Platform Engineer

The role

Healx is hiring a motivated Platform Engineer to build cloud infrastructure and develop production pipelines that enable our AI drug discovery process. You will bridge the gap between infrastructure and scientific software, both designing, building and supporting cloud infrastructure and collaborating with bioinformaticians, machine learning engineers and data scientists to implement data pipelines.

You will join a small, agile engineering team where individuals take ownership of tasks, innovate quickly and collaborate extensively through pair programming. Working closely with technical members of data and digital science teams you will clearly see the impact your work has on pioneering the next generation of AI drug discovery and finding treatments for rare disease patients in need.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure in AWS (and some GCP) to enable AI drug discovery workflows

Follow infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD principles to build maintainable infrastructure using Terraform and CircleCI

Take advantage of latest AWS tools and apply best practices across our cloud estate to ensure security, availability and observability

Work closely with technical users across the company to understand and support their computational needs

In collaboration with data scientists write code to build, test and automate production pipelines in tools such as Nextflow, Airflow, MLflow and KNIME

Embrace the use of AI coding tools and agents to accelerate delivery while retaining responsibility for system design, implementation and testing of code

You will know you are successful when

You have strong ownership of parts of our cloud infrastructure, familiarity with our Terraform codebase and are shipping regular improvements

Infrastructure you've designed and deployed is supporting drug discovery pipelines

You have taken ownership of security, cost management and observability in our cloud estate

Computational workflows are in production that you've built in Nextflow, Airflow, MLflow or similar in collaboration with digital scientists

You have shipped maintainable code to enable lambda functions, automation scripts and internal tools in several of our Python repositories

What we're looking for

We're looking for a mid level engineer with solid hands on experience building cloud infrastructure in a commercial environment who is keen to apply what they already know and learn new skills.

You are highly collaborative and driven to solve problems that help others and drive the Healx mission

You have hands-on experience (typically around 2+ years) working with a cloud platform, ideally AWS, and are excited about building cloud infrastructure following best practices

You are a proponent and practitioner of infrastructure as code principles, ideally with experience in Terraform, and have experience building, maintaining and scaling CI/CD pipelines

Solid experience writing maintainable and well tested code following best practices in at least one language (we use mainly Python and some Go)

An automation mindset, ideally with experience building production workflows in tools like Airflow

The Role

We are seeking a Translational Scientist (DMPK & Safety) to play a critical role in bridging AI-driven drug predictions with clinical reality.

This is a drug-centric, highly collaborative role where you will not only generate and interpret data but also shape the non-clinical path to the clinic. You will sit within the pharmacology team while working closely with our tech, curation, and clinical teams to translate computational predictions into viable therapeutic candidates.

We are looking for someone with strong DMPK expertise who is eager to expand into a broader translational role – contributing strategically across the drug discovery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Study Design & Oversight: Provide technical peer review for DMPK and safety in vitro and in vivo study designs. You’ll refine protocols to ensure we generate "gold standard," actionable data.

CRO Management: Act as the technical lead for our external research partners and CROs.

Data Reporting: Synthesise chemical, pharmacological, and PK data into high-quality summary reports and preclinical dossiers.

Drug-Centric Translation: Contribute technical expertise to help the team generate and evolve an appropriate Target Product Profile (TPP), ensuring discovery programmes are aligned to the long-term patient needs.

Strategic Triage: Support the Project Leader/Pharmacology team in reviewing AI-generated drug predictions using your DMPK and safety knowledge to identify the candidates most likely to succeed in the clinic.

Cross-Functional Connectivity: Bridge the gap between preclinical, tech, clinical, and commercial teams, providing insights on safety liabilities, drug exposure, and population suitability.

AI Impact: Proactively seek opportunities to use AI and advanced computational tools to generate and refine DMPK and safety knowledge.

What we are looking for

Experience in DMPK within biotech or pharma.

Strong expertise in DMPK modelling (e.g. Phoenix WinNonlin or similar tools).

Ability to integrate diverse datasets into clear scientific narratives.

Experience using Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) and preparing technical reports and preclinical dossiers.

Strong literature and database mining skills, particularly for safety data.

Experience-or strong interest-in interpreting non-clinical safety and toxicology data.

Familiarity with evaluating toxicology packages and identifying dose-limiting toxicities.

Experience in oncology and/or neurology is advantageous.
